DANCE 8 November | 5 :00pm Opificio Romaeuropa
“Tacita Muta”, an ancient Roman goddess of the underworld, celebrated as the Goddess of Silence, is the emblem figure, the starting point of the work presented by Adriana Borriello, choreographer and educator of international renown. Before it was a nymph that talking too much and inappropriately, was induced by Jupiter in eternal silence and conducted by Mercury in the realm of the Dead. A highly symbolic history in the culture of ancient Rome, which attaches great value to the word … of men, among men, but that should not belong to the qualities and virtues of a woman.
This is a fascinating poetic inspiration to leave the word to dance and to imagine, with the young dancers, a sort of rite of passage, playful moods, transmission of knowledge, sharing of space-time, which will transform all of us with its own rules of the game: dancers in precarious equilibrium between childhood and pre-adolescence, and we, the public, in our privileged witness position.
